OUR BRAND
Our Community
The RealReal recognizes the benefits of diversity across all levels of the workforce to ensure a balance of skills, experience, expertise, gender, ethnicity, national origin and age. We believe diversity and inclusion enhance our decision-making and creative capabilities and foster a culture of collaboration. We aim to inspire and empower our employees to think creatively and authentically, share their ideas, bring their whole selves to work, and strive for greatness every day.
The RealReal is Committed to
Diversity, Equity and Inclusion
We’re proud of our diverse team, but we know there are opportunities for us to improve, particularly among our senior leadership. We seek to maintain a balance of diversity and representation—including gender, race, national origin, and age—across all levels of The RealReal, including our board, management, and workforce.
Where we are now:
Internal Initiatives
At TRR we know our values are meaningless when not backed up by Real action. We take pride in being a supportive workplace and are creating initiatives designed to put the things we stand for into every day practice.
Connecting With Our Community
ENGAGE
Real Talk Live brings our experts, collaborators and community together in a virtual talk series. We create engaging, culturally relevant conversations that reflect our core values and share our expertise.
SUPPORT
Our goal is to represent and support our community in all facets of what we do. Not only do we feature a diverse range of sizes, skin tones, and genders in front of the camera, we also engage talented content creators, artists, and photographers of all backgrounds and abilities to help us tell our stories in an authentic way.

GIVE BACK
The RealReal is dedicated to helping increase diversity within our larger fashion and business communities. See below for some of the organizations TRR supports.
The Black Retail Action Group (BRAG) TRR has partnered with BRAG on their work to educate and prepare Black students for fashion and retail leadership roles.
Black Girls CODE TRR supports and helps fund the expansion of their work to bring more women of color into STEM fields.
Black in Fashion Council Founded in August 2020 with the mission to represent and secure the advancement of Black individuals in the fashion and beauty industry. Our pledge to the Council over the next three years will allow us to partner in that work and support our own progress by having third-party experts give us feedback and insight on our inclusivity plans. The Council will also help us measure that progress through an equality index tallied with the help of the Human Rights Campaign.
For International Women’s Day 2021, we celebrated students and leaders of Back Girls CODE with an edit of female-led brands. A portion of the proceeds supported Black Girls Code.
